This is the second month-long art challenge I created and hosted on Instagram during the month of February 2024. The theme of this challenge was to pretend you were a travelling scientist exploring a new fantastical land, and document your observations in your notebook/journal with as much information as possible. The results and wonderful creations from my community can be viewed under the #fieldguidefebruary2024 over on Instagram. I created 7 creature illustrations based on some of the prompts; each creature is from my original short story The Inventory of Semi-Precious Creatures.
